  • Founded by Hélène Bailly Marcilhac in 2007, the gallery has been based at 71, rue du Faubourg Saint Honoré in Paris since 2015.

The gallery covers a century of art history, from 1880 to 1980. Tracing the evolution of a theme over the years, it endeavors to recontextualize each piece by making links between different generations of artists, between movements or between techniques.

With a particular focus on avant-garde art, Galerie HELENE BAILLY curates monographic or major exhibitions four times a year, with the ambition to give enthusiasts and collectors alike a deeper understanding of twentieth-century artistic creation.

Each of these exhibitions is the subject of a dedicated catalog, bringing together the results of research carried out within the gallery for each of the works presented, as well as explanatory notes written by specialized art historians.

We also contribute to the enrichment of international collections through sales and loans to institutions such as the Musée d’Orsay, the Musée du Quai Branly, the Hermitage Foundation, the Museum of Modern Art, the National Gallery of Victoria, the Singer Laren and the Palazzo Reale.

An expert accredited by the Chambre Européenne des Experts-Conseils en Œuvres d’Art, Hélène Bailly Marcilhac is committed to respecting the memory of artists and an art market where authenticity is key.

To this end, Galerie HELENE BAILLY publishes Catalogues Raisonnés of artists such as Léon Pourtau and Henri Delavallée, and participates in the elaboration of others, such as that of Francis Picabia.

In addition to being a member of the Comité Professionnel des Galeries d’Art and the Syndicat National des Antiquaires, Hélène Bailly Marcilhac is president and co-founder of the Matignon Saint Honoré association, created in 2024 to promote the art market in Paris’s 8th arrondissement.
