Cross dans la lumière du Var, le plus beau pays du monde: Musée de l'Annonciade, Saint-Tropez

10 July - 14 November 2023

A look at the work of Henri Edmond Joseph Delacroix, who took the pseudonym Cross to avoid confusion with Eugène Delacroix. A naturalist and then a neo-impressionist, he also adopted divisionism. His paintings of Provence, which put the science of colour back at the heart of creation, influenced Henri Matisse and the Fauvist painters.

On the occasion of the exhibition "Cross dans la lumière du Var, le plus beau pays du monde", Helene Bailly will lend a work by Henri-Edmond Cross "La Toilette," (1902-1905) to the Musée de l'Annonciade in Saint Tropez.
