Gauguin - Il diario di Noa Noa e altre avventure: Musée de la Fanteria, Rome

6 September 2025 - 25 January 2026

HELENE BAILLY gallery is pleased to lend Eve and the Serpent by Paul Sérusier and The Breton Women by Maurice Denis to the Museo della Fanteria in Rome, for the exhibition “Gauguin - Il diario di Noa Noa e altre avventure”, on view from September 6, 2025, to January 25, 2026.

This exhibition revisits the decisive influence of Paul Gauguin and his stay in Tahiti through the lens of his celebrated journal Noa Noa, while also exploring the echoes of his work among the artists of the Nabis group. The loans of works by Sérusier and Denis enrich the exhibition by highlighting the spiritual, symbolist, and decorative legacy of Gauguin, at the heart of the dialogue between tradition and modernity.
