For the 2023 edition of BRAFA, Helene Bailly celebrates the colours and warm lights of the Mediterranean. On its stand "On dirait le Sud!", the gallery takes the opposite view of the Belgian winter and flies to Provence, Italy, Spain... It exhibits works from the end of the 19th century and the first half of the 20th century, all of which have in common that they evoke the mildness of the Mediterranean basin.
As part of Dialogs, Helene Bailly invites Charlot & Cie, paper sculptors, to exhibit a poetic tree on her stand. Lying on Pierre-Augustin Rose's sofas, we can imagine ourselves spending a lazy afternoon surrounded by Renoir, Le Sidaner, Van Rysselberghe, Marquet, Kisling, Miró, Picasso, Brauner, Estève, and many others.
